چکیده

There are about 270,000 gullies over 500 meters in length on the Loess Plateau, and average soil water content is nearly three times that of slope surface Plateau. In crisscrossed there very rich reserve resources cultivated land potential for increasing grain production. How to manage channel ecologically make full use a problem needs be paid attention to. This study puts forward five factors affecting gully governance, pays more systematization, integrality coordination protection, governance utilization, which can provide reference standards comprehensive accurate implementation construction projects, technical support promoting economic development, ecological environment improvement new rural western China old revolutionary base areas. It conducive protection high-quality development Yellow River Basin.

The Characters of Dry Soil Layer on the Loess Plateau in China and Their Influencing Factors

A dry soil layer (DSL) is a common soil desiccation phenomenon that generally forms at a particular depth in the soil profile because of climatic factors and poor land management, and this phenomenon can influence the water cycle and has been observed on the Loess Plateau of China and other similar regions around the world. Therefore, an investigation of the DSL formation depth (DSLFD), thickne...

Detection of Catchment-Scale Gully-Affected Areas Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) on the Chinese Loess Plateau

The Chinese Loess Plateau suffers from serious gully erosion induced by natural and human causes. Gully-affected areas detection is the basic work in this region for gully erosion assessment and monitoring. For the first time, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was applied to extract gully features in this region. Two typical catchments in Changwu and Ansai were selected to represent loess tablel...

Vertical Profiles of Soil Water Content as Influenced by Environmental Factors in a Small Catchment on the Hilly-Gully Loess Plateau

Characterization of soil water content (SWC) profiles at catchment scale has profound implications for understanding hydrological processes of the terrestrial water cycle, thereby contributing to sustainable water management and ecological restoration in arid and semi-arid regions. This study described the vertical profiles of SWC at the small catchment scale on the hilly and gully Loess Platea...
